should have taken a sweatshirt! Murphy LOVES these temps and was in step once again. I however was a bit slow tonight because I am still sore from Monday’s circuit training. It was definitely a great workout! Still feeling it!
Tomorrow is my official last day at my job. I start my new job Monday and have to travel to SC for the whole week to meet my new boss, team and do onboarding and training. I am trying to get excited, but it just isn’t there yet. Feeling a little sad about the fate of my company and although I am happy to have a secure spot with the parent company and get to keep my seniority and all that - I feel for those who don’t yet know their fate. Many layoffs yet to come. Will be a hard rest of the year for many.
Trying not to think about that and remain thankful for my opportunities. But it does feel strange. Almost ten years with the company, not easy to say goodbye to my network and connections that I have built over the years and have made it so easy to do my job… will take a long time to build that again.
I’m up to the challenge. Just not yet that excited about it. Hope that will come once I jump in and start learning.

Hubby and I got both dogs out this morning. Was perfect weather once again. Right now I am having a lot of trouble with my back and hips. So the least I can do is get out and walk. Really wish I could do more. But doing what I can. I need to start some regular yoga and stretching to help with all the stiffness. Guess I am just feeling my age creep up on me.

got news at the vet appointment that Murphy (bulldog) is overweight… So guess I need to make it a point to get him out just as much as Maiya the German Shepherd. She needs the walks for her energy levels, he needs the walks for his lack of energy level… Problem is that he seems to finish up what she doesn’t eat. She doesn’t really care much about food and is more on the too thin side. He helps himself to seconds out of her bowl. Going to be a challenge for sure. Vet would like to see him lose 3-4 pounds.
Tonight worked out that hubby could go too so both dogs got out. Was beautiful out. Weather has been so fabulous lately!

Hubby and I decided we should try to get up early and start getting a walk or run in before work. I have been going in the evenings mostly alone because he has been taking a night class, but now that it is over we are going to try and get back in a routine…an early routine!
Didn’t go very well for the first day. I slept terribly last night and wasn’t moving very fast this morning. Also to top it off by back is feeling pretty sore this morning. So we didn’t make it very far or very quickly. Dog were with us and seems to have to take extra pit stops today than normal.
Oh well, it is a start. I need to try and do some good stretching today and maybe another short walk tonight.

Was really busy on my 3 mile route that takes us right past trophy point. Lots of folks out and about. Could be because the weather was so perfect, but probably more because Acceptance Day is right around the corner. Think there is a parade scheduled for Sunday… will probably make sure to not walk there then!

Did the big 12% grade route again. pretty much same thing - walk down to the reservoir, run around the reservoir, walk/run intervals back up. This time did 2 intervals of running for 3 pole distance and added a third interval of two poles… not a lot more, but it is more just the same. Nice evening, not too humid and just a bit of a sprinkle as I headed out. Got sweaty tho. Now time to stretch out these legs. The right side of my butt is a bit tight and sore. Don’t think it is the location of my stress fracture - different. Just feels like I need to get things stretch and back in line. Feel really out of whack. May be time to visit the chiro again.
